Bristol 1881. In a dark Victorian photography studio, a battle of wills unfolds between man and dog. Supported by South West Regional Development Agency and South West Screen. ¡°Ebenezer Morgan's Photography Emporium¡± was screened at Cinanima International Animation Festival, Portugal 2005.
Ebenezer Morgan's Photography Emporium was made as part of SE3D, a unique scheme by HP Labs, Alias and Watershed in Bristol to support CG animators across the U.K. SE3D offered participants access to HP Labs¡¯ experimental Maya Utility Rendering service, as well as mentoring and workshops, to produce a 3D short. The URS (Utility Rendering Service) had access to a maximum of 100 machines equipped with dual Pentium III 2.8GHz CPUs, 4GB RAM, 72GB direct attached storage and access to 2.5TB of shared networked storage. Each machine ran Redhat 9 Linux and HP's proprietary URS software. For more info about the scheme, visit www.se3d.co.uk
