¡°Inanimate Alice¡± depicts the life of a young girl growing up in the early years of the 21st century, through her blog and episodic multimedia adventures that span her life from childhood through to her twenties. It has been created to help draw attention to the issue of Electro-sensitivity and the potentially harmful pollution resulting from wireless communications. ¡°Inanimate Alice¡± was presented at various international festivals such as Eighth International Digital Art Exhibit and Colloquium, Havana, Cuba (6/2006), ANIMAFEST, the 17th World Festival of Animated Film, Zagreb, Croatia (5-6/2006), Thailand New Media Arts Festival, Bangkok, Thailand (5/2006), D>Art.2006, Sydney, Australia (4/2006) and Electronic Literature Collection volume 1 (CD-ROM), The Electronic Literature Organization, UCLA, Los Angeles, USA (3/2006).

Kate Pullinger is a novelist and short story writer; her books include the novel ¡®Weird Sister¡¯ and ¡®A Little Stranger¡¯. Her first play for radio, ¡®The Egyptian Collection¡¯ was critically acclaimed, following the recent national broadcast. She is currently involved in devising an new MA in Creative Writing and Technology at De Montfort University, Leicester. She lives in London. www.katepullinger.com
babel is a british/canadian digital writer and artist who has exhibited solo and collaborative work on and offline since 2002. Past projects include 'The Breathing Wall' with Kate Pullinger and Stefan Schemat, a digital novel that responds to the reader's breathing rate; and ¡®Eisenstein's Monster¡¯, a participatory video piece shown in Perspective < i and the Playzone Samsung Media Lounge at the 2005 Seoul Net Festival. www.babel.ca
