<이 작품은 ‘금속’과 ‘고기’ 문자 그대로의 뜻과, 그 말들이 상징적이게 인식되는 ‘남자’와 ‘자연’이라는 뜻, 그것들 사이의 갈등을 추상적이게 그려내는 이야기이다. 
<Discord: metal and meat> is an abstracted story about conflict between forces, whether they are literally metal and meat or more symbolically perceived as man and nature.

This short abstract film, full of dark undertones, comes like a fleeting dream, where forms appear and disappear like ghosts in the midst of nocturnal chaos.

이 작품은, 최근 새로운 건물에 전시관을 개장한 미네아 폴리스 도서관을 위해 만들어졌다. 도서관에 있는 모든 그림들이 이 작품의 기반이 되었다.
This piece was originally composed for the Minneapolis Public Library, which recently opened a gallery space at their brand new building. This piece was composed entirely from pictures of the library itself.

The text appearing in the video is taken from the beginning of the Medieval Spanish poem ‘Coplas on the Death of My Father’, by Jorge Manrique (1440-1479), translated by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

이 작품의 제목은, 영상적이고 음악적인 요소를 만들며 영화의 중간 섹션에서 컬러 파레트를 확인하는 수단으로서 ‘소음의 이용’에서 빌려 왔다. 
The title stems both from the use of noise as a means to generate the visual and musical elements, as well as to identify the color palette in the central section of the piece.
